MENGGALI KEARIFAN LOKAL SEMBOYAN WASAKA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM

Abstract

The motto "Haram Manyarah Faces Until Kaputing" (WASAKA) is a local wisdom value introduced by Pangeran Antasari, a national hero from South Kalimantan. This concept emphasizes the importance of persistent and relentless effort in completing every task or struggle until it reaches the end. WASAKA reflects a strong spirit of struggle, tenacity, perseverance and courage in facing all obstacles. The aim of the research is to find out and describe the application of the content of the slogan Haram Manyarah Faces to Kaputing (WASAKA) carried out by students in the school and community environment. Haram Manyarah Faces to Kaputing is character education based on the values ​​of local wisdom of the Dayak Community of South Kalimantan Province. The word Haram turns one's face to the point of caputing. This was uttered by Prince Antasari, a national hero from South Kalimantan, and has become the character value of the people of South Kalimantan: religious, tough, honest, intelligent, caring and loving the country. This research looks at the WASAKA motto as a character of the Banjar community, in Islamic education, and how it is applied to the Banjar community in South Kalimantan. The results show that WASAKA functions as a reinforcement of character education in Islamic education.
