PERAN ILMU BIOLOGI DALAM ISLAM MENURUT PERSPEKTIF AL-QUR'AN

This essay will examine the place of biology in Islam from a Koranic perspective. The study of living things, such as humans, animals, and plants, is known as biology. Studying biology is regarded as a sunnah in Islam, which is the practice of doing what the Prophet Muhammad teaches and does. Biology is a branch of science that examines earthly life and living things. Islam holds that the Koran is the best source of knowledge and that it contains the solutions to all of life's questions, including those pertaining to biology. There are various verses in the Qur'an that discuss biological science. The origins of creation, diversity and classification, reproduction, zoology, and animal behavior are all topics covered in these verses. The growth of science, particularly biology, is not hampered by the Qur'an; on the contrary, it is encouraged. Humans can comprehend monotheism and how it relates to the continuity and stability of the cosmos through biology. Islam places a lot of importance on biological science. The Qur'an claims that humans were the animals' primary purpose for creation. Humans can appreciate the beauty and intricacy of Allah SWT's creation and use it in accordance with Islamic teachings by studying biology. By comprehending and protecting biodiversity, biological science also assists humans in fulfilling their position as caliphs on earth.
