Abstract

Today, many adults are feeling anxious and restless. The troubles of life are evident all around them, not only because of the increasing demands and competition of life, but also because of the interference that disturbs the peace with confused ideas. Feelings of anxiety and confusion are not only experienced by those who are less well off, but also by those who are rich but feel empty inside. In Islam, dhikr is a way to overcome feelings of unease, by remembering Allah in everyday life. Zikr, which soothes the soul, is mentioned in the Koran and hadith as part of the instructions for overcoming inner anxiety and mental turmoil. Islam provides solutions to various human problems, including unstable psychological conditions. Remembrance of Allah allows the development of optimism and self-confidence, which can ward off mental anxiety. Anxiety, as an unpleasant emotional condition, arises due to emotional stress and inner conflict experienced by individuals. The Al-Quran is a source of verses that describe the human psyche as a reference for psychotherapy in overcoming anxiety. The Koran offers solutions to overcome anxiety through reading and writing based on its verses. There are verses in the Koran that provide guidance on how to face life without anxiety, including through dhikr psychotherapy which reduces anxiety levels.
