Abstract

Prayer is not only an obligatory act of worship, but also has the benefit of curing all kinds of diseases, both mental and physical. In curing mental illness, it will inspire a person to purify his heart and eliminate all mental disorders and jealousy, which has many benefits and effects to improve mental health. Meanwhile, the healing of physical illnesses can occur through the movements of prayer performed, starting from the takbir movement to the prostration movement, which has a positive impact on a person's physical healing. This can be likened to physical activity that requires repeated practice and brings benefits to the human body. Understanding that prayer is important and requires a costly commitment and takes much less time than other acts of worship and activities, many people perform it less diligently than other more strenuous and time-consuming activities. Every Muslim should strive to wake up on time to perform prayer (Fajr) with humility because prayer can bring many benefits, including: prayer is a light for believers. Prayer is happiness for the soul of the believer and comfort for the heart. Prayer is the expiation of sins and the cleansing of all disgrace.
