MODEL KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL DAN MODEL KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSAKSIONAL DALAM LEMBAGA PENDIDIKAN ISLAM

Leadership in the context of education plays an important role in creating an effective learning environment. Two leadership models that are often discussed are transformational and transactional leadership. Each model has different characteristics and impacts on productivity and organizational climate. From this background, the purpose of this research is to explain the concepts of transformational and transactional leadership, and analyze their application in educational institutions, especially in the context of Islamic education. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection through literature study. Data were obtained from various sources, both books and online articles, that discuss leadership in education and the challenges faced by both leadership models. The results show that transformational leadership, which focuses on inspiring and developing members' potential, can create an environment conducive to innovation and growth. In contrast, transactional leadership, which is results- and reward-oriented, can cause jealousy among individuals and affect organizational stability. Both leadership models have their own advantages and disadvantages. Leaders in educational institutions need to understand and apply these two models wisely to achieve the expected learning goals and create a positive school environment.
