Abstract

Educational supervision is a crucial process in improving the quality of learning and teacher performance. This research highlights the central role of supervision in achieving national education goals, as stated in Law Number 20 of 2003. This study examines how supervision can help teachers develop their professional competencies, thereby having a positive impact on student achievement. Various theories and perspectives on supervision are discussed, starting from Ki Hajar Dewantara's views to modern concepts. The results of the study show that effective supervision can encourage teachers to become more professional, creative and innovative in carrying out their duties. Apart from that, supervision also contributes to creating a conducive learning environment for students.
