PENINGKATAN MUTU BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI PRAKTIK PROFESIONALITAS GURU

One of the efforts to improve the quality of education, especially the quality of student learning is the application of teacher professionalism because professional teachers will certainly produce outstanding students. This research was conducted to identify and describe the practice of teacher professionalism and the implementation of teacher professionalism in improving the quality of student learning. The subjects of this study were four senior teachers who had been certified. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data processing in this study was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. Then, to measure the validity of the data using technique and source triangulation. The results of the study stated that: 1) Teacher professionalism practices in the learning process to improve the learning quality of students at MAN 4 Banjar, namely making lesson plans, making and utilizing learning materials and media, using and selecting learning approaches, methods, and techniques in accordance with the curriculum used, providing motivation, managing to learn, making and carrying out learning evaluations, providing remedial learning, and providing guidance on problems or student difficulties in learning. 2) The implementation of the teacher's professional practice as a whole can be said to be conducive and effective, because everything is almost in line with the theory and the learning process that is carried out looks good and orderly.
