Abstract

Racism in sports is discriminatory behavior that is unacceptable and must be eradicated. Racist behavior can take many forms, including discrimination in team selection, verbal insults or abuse, unfair treatment in matches, avoidance or rejection, as well as the use of racist symbols or signs. Racism in sports is not only unfair and damages the image of the sport as a whole, but it can also damage the self-esteem and self-confidence of the individual who is the victim. To address racism in sports, concrete actions such as raising awareness, providing training, and imposing strict sanctions on perpetrators of racist behavior are needed. Individuals who experience racism in sports can take several actions, including report the incident to the authorities, talk to someone trustworthy, take notes, get involved in anti-racism groups, and don't demean yourself. It is important to remember that everyone should have the same right to participate and enjoy sports without discrimination. By combating racism in sport, we can create an inclusive environment and promote the values of equality, justice and unity in sport.
