Abstract

Islamic education is an important part of the life of Muslims. Over time, Islamic education underwent changes and adjustments to keep up with the demands of modern society. One of the factors that played an important role in this change was technology. In this era of industrial revolution, technology had a significant impact on the existence of Islamic education. Entering this era of disruption, Islamic education must be more sensitive to the symptoms of social change in society. Islamic education must be ready to disrupt itself if it wants to assert its existence. Insisting on old ways and systems and shutting down from worldly development will make Islamic education worse and outdated. Therefore, there are three things that Islamic education must strive for, namely changing the old way of thinking that is restricted by bureaucratic rules into disruptive ways of thinking that prioritize corporate ways. Islamic education must also be independent to be able to implement innovation according to the demands of the 4.0 era. In addition, Islamic education must also transform or create all aspects of it so that it is always relevant to demands and changes.
