ZAKAT DALAM PEREKONOMIAN MODERN

Abstract

Zakat is one of the main pillars of the Islamic economy that is relevant and significant in the context of the modern economy. The principle of zakat includes the obligation for Muslims to donate a portion of their wealth to help the poor, orphans, widows, and people in need of financial assistance. Zakat in the modern economy involves an aspect of philanthropy, which seeks to achieve humanitarian and social goals and sof funds to those in need. In the context of modern economics, zakat can play a role in reducing social disparities, improving people's welfare, and facilitating sustainable development by promoting a fairer distribution of economic resources. Proper implementation of zakat can help create a more inclusive economic ecosystem and address contemporary socioeconomic challenges. The research method used in this study is library research. The results of zakat in the modern economy itself have differences in terms of management and implementation systems from the time of the Prophet and the modern era
