This study emphasizes the importance of the role of parents and caregivers in providing affection and attention that affects the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growht of children. When these needs are not met, the child may be at risk of facing various negative effects, including behavioral problems, difficulties in education, and mental disorders. Therefore, building a warm and caring atmosphere from an early age is a valuable long-term investment for the future of the country. Further research is needed to explore effective methods in meeting children’s need for affection and attention optimally, as well as to gain an understanding of the roles of various parties in supporting these efforts.</p> Nor Azizah Siti Zahra Damayanti Sapnah Gina Sapitri Argi Prambudi Copyright (c) 2025 Islamic Education 2025-06-17 2025-06-17 4 2 1 10 Implementasi Program Pelatihan EFL (Education For Life) dalam Meningkatkan Profesionalisme Guru Melalui Pendekatan Konsep Deming Di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ash-Shabirin Kota Banjarmasin https://maryamsejahtera.com/index.php/Education/article/view/1276 <p><em>This research examines the implementation of the Education For Life (EFL) teacher training program at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ash-Shabirin, Banjarmasin City, by integrating Deming's quality management cycle, specifically PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act). The background highlights the critical role of teacher professionalism in shaping excellent human resources amidst the challenges of digital transformation, emphasizing the need for systematic and continuous training. The EFL program aims to equip teachers with lifelong learning values and strengthen their pedagogical and character competencies. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with facilitators and participating teachers, observations during training implementation, and analysis of relevant documents. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that all four stages of the PDCA cycle were effectively implemented: (1) <strong>Planning (Plan)</strong> was based on identifying teacher needs from supervision results and annual evaluations, along with adapting national policies through the PINTAR Account platform. (2) <strong>Execution (Do)</strong> utilized active methods such as workshops, microteaching, and reflective sessions with an andragogical approach, combining online and offline learning. (3) <strong>Evaluation (Check)</strong> was conducted through classroom observations, independent teacher reflections, and pre-post tests, covering aspects of knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
