Abstract

This research aims to study visiting guests in the Al-Qur'an, the procedures for visiting in the Al-Qur'an, the interpretation of several tafsir, one of which is al-Qurtubi regarding visiting etiquette in surah an-Nur verses 27–29, and to find out the wisdom visit. This research uses library research methods. Next, the data obtained is then analyzed and studied in depth by paying attention to the references used. Search for library studies using the internet, then review them based on related topics, just like library studies. References in the form of books, journals, articles, theses, and those related to the discussion that the author has researched. The research results show that the essence of visiting etiquette is a collection of rules or norms that regulate how a person behaves when visiting someone else's house. Speaking politely, maintaining cleanliness, respecting the host, and obeying social rules in a particular place are some examples. The etiquette of visiting, which can be "taken from the interpretation of Al-Qurtubi, is that when someone visits, it is permissible to precede him with a greeting before asking permission. It is not permissible to look into another person's house without permission. It is not permissible to ask permission more than three times. In other words , if the visiting party asks for permission three times but there is no response from the homeowner, the visiting party should postpone their request. If the homeowner is asked "who is this?", don't just say "me" because they may not know who is coming those who ask for permission should not knock too hard because this includes not having any etiquette. The person who asks for permission must return if the owner of the house asks. However, that does not mean that the owner of the house has the freedom to chase away his guests it is permissible to enter an unoccupied house. However, this is different if the house or residence you want to enter is no longer occupied. You as a host must treat guests well. Some of the wisdom of visiting is expanding one's sustenance and prolonging one's life, obtaining rewards, obtaining forgiveness and obtaining goodness.
