PERAN DUKUNGAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP ANAK YANG MENGALAMI MENSTRUASI PERTAMA

Menarche is a physiological process during puberty as a sign of the maturity of the female reproductive organs. For Muslim women, menarche is also an important event, because it marks a woman becoming 'baligh' (adult). Research shows that young women feel afraid and unprepared at menarche, and there is limited information regarding family support for children. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal support and anxiety about facing menarche (first menstruation) in prepubertal children. Menarche is a sign of a change in social status from child to adult. The arrival of menarche can cause positive or negative reactions for adolescent girls. Mothers have a big role in providing information about menstruation to teenagers.
