Abstract

People with disabilities in Indonesia have the right to vote in elections, based on the recapitulation of the final voter list (DPT), the number of disabled voters is 1,101,178 voters. In order to fulfill the right to vote for people with disabilities, the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) of the Republic of Indonesia together with the National Commission for Disabilities (KND) and disability organizations held an Election Declaration for Respectful Access for Disabilities in the 2024 Simultaneous Elections. In this research, researchers used qualitative research based on online news data about Disability Respectful Access Election Declaration. The results of this research show that the Declaration on Disability-Friendly Access Elections by the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) of the Republic of Indonesia. The Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) of the Republic of Indonesia together with the National Commission for Disabilities (KND) and disability organizations had a positive impact by making similar declarations in a number of regions, this shows commitment together with high levels of holding the 2024 simultaneous elections that are inclusive, have integrity, and respect and fulfill the political rights of persons with disabilities
