Kemampuan Mahasiswa Universitas Lambung Mangkurat dalam Menjaga Konsistensi Ibadah di Tengah Maraknya Penggunaan Gadget

Abstract

The rise of gadget use has become a global phenomenon that affects various aspects of human life. Time that should be used to read the scriptures, meditate, or reflect on religious values is often displaced by time spent in the digital world. This research uses descriptive quantitative method, which is research that describes variables objectively with the support of data in the form of numbers obtained from the actual situation. The population studied was Lambung Mangkurat University students represented by 30 randomly selected samples. The data were processed and presented in the form of a simple single data table accompanied by its description. Based on the results of the study, the use of gadgets affects the consistency of worship of Lambung Mangkurat University students. Most students of Lambung Mangkurat University are still able to maintain the consistency of worship in the midst of the rampant use of gadgets. However, the use of gadgets has the potential to disrupt the management of worship time, if this is not addressed appropriately. The use of gadgets also hinders Lambung Mangkurat University students in carrying out worship, such as disturbing the solemnity of worship. In the end, gadgets have a positive impact and a negative impact on the consistency of student worship. Especially in the use of gadgets, which must be limited in its use so that we as Muslims do not neglect worship. However, gadgets also function as a means of worship for students.
