Pancasila is the official ideology of Indonesia and is considered an open ideology. It is a reflection of the values and goals of the Indonesian nation and is flexible enough to adapt to changing times without losing its essence. Pancasila is a foundation for the Indonesian state, and it is a middle ground in solving problems that are developing in today’s society . It has become a filtering mechanism for incoming developments, and it is open to global developments in deviant matters. The essence of Pancasila as an important ideology is to provide solutions to every problem that exists in Indonesia. The core values of Pancasila inherent in the ideology of Pancasila must be embedded and unchanging. This study will discuss the meaning of ideology and Pancasila so as to get the true meaning of Pancasila ideology. This study will also reveal the connection between Pancasila and Islamic values. Pancasila is believed to be the basis that is able to unite the nation from the rich tribes, races and cultures it has, so that Pancasila is believed that values are able to realize the values of tolerance between religious people.
