Abstract

This journal aims to examine the concepts of contemporary Islamic thought. Adults, the concepts of thought about Islam continue to develop according to the period of social change. In Islamic teachings invites all human beings to continue to seek knowledge and use their minds as well as possible. This is what makes the concept of Islamic thought changeable or dynamic. Islam serves as the guardian of culture and thought in order to bring prosperity to humans. In this modern era, there are many contemporary issues in the Islamic world that are developing, such as issues of democracy, issues of pluralism, issues of terrorism and others. Therefore, the obligation as a Muslim is to be able to think rationally and also think critically to negate this and not to create an apathetic and anarchic society. It is this open attitude that makes it the main resolution to break this up.
