Abstract

This research aims to analyze the legal use of Home Ownership Credit (KPR) transactions in sharia banking which uses the Murabahah financing method. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach where the author provides a detailed and factual description. The data collection method in this research is using the library research method, namely a data collection method by understanding and studying theories from various literature related to research. One of the primary needs that must be fulfilled by a human being is a house. However, many people still have problems buying a house in cash and do not want to use Home Ownership Credit (KPR) services facilitated by conventional banks to make buying a house easier because Islamic law prohibits usury. Therefore, sharia banks have emerged that offer Home Ownership Credit (KPR) facilities using the sharia method or without interest. In this transaction, the bank makes a profit through a margin rate or also called a Murabahah contract. This paper will review the law on Home Ownership Credit (KPR) which uses Murabahah contracts in its transactions.
