Abstract

This study discusses the ethics of eating and drinking in Islam, taking the foundation of Qur'anic verses and hadith as the main guide. The focus of the study involved analyzing four hadiths that showed the health consequences associated with certain actions, such as the prohibition of standing drinking and the exhortation to eat calmly. In a medical perspective, the ban is considered to have a positive impact on the health of the body. In addition, the study also discusses halal and thayyib rules in food and beverage consumption, as well as the importance of maintaining a balance between physical and spiritual. The implementation of Islamic values in daily lifestyle, especially related to food, is considered an important aspect in maintaining health. The results showed that Islamic teachings are not only spiritual in nature, but also provide significant direction related to human health. Awareness and implementation of this teaching is expected to improve the welfare of the Muslim community as a whole. This study adopts the literature review method by analyzing various articles that discuss the ethics of eating and drinking in Islam from a religious and health perspective.
