Most people think fasting is only to increase patience and cleanse themselves, but in fact fasting is also very important and beneficial for health. Especially for the elderly or elderly. Because of the many health benefits obtained from fasting. This research aims to find out what benefits the elderly can get from fasting. Using descriptive research methods that analyze data from various sources and present it systematically so that it can provide benefits in the form of accurate information to readers. begins with collecting data, analyzing the data and interpreting it. The descriptive method in its implementation is carried out through: survey techniques, case studies (differentiate from a case), comparative studies, studies of time and motion, behavioral analysis, and documentary analysis. In this research, data analysis techniques were used through journals and other sources. This research was conducted from November 17 2023 to November 19 2023. It took place offline in the library through books and journals as well as online on the internet through research and educational journals related to health and fasting for the elderly. The benefits of fasting for the elderly include controlling blood sugar to keep it stable, improving heart health, increasing endurance, reducing inflammation and improving brain function. Safe ways to fast for the elderly include, among other things, consuming water according to your body's needs, consuming healthy and nutritious food, doing light exercise 1 hour before breaking the fast, having regular health checks, and getting enough sleep. A balance between worshiping and doing it safely is a mandatory requirement for fulfilling an obligation. Don't let someone neglect to do it safely in order to achieve the desired benefits. So that the results obtained are satisfactory and do not have a bad impact, we should apply every safe method that is recommended to minimize every unwanted bad thing.
