Abstract

Tahajud prayer is a sunnah prayer that is performed at night and done after sleep. Prayer is a physical activity consisting of very complex movements so that if done correctly and regularly it will be beneficial to improve health. A sense of calmness in the mind and soul greatly affects the condition of the body and the release of chemical mediators in the body and endorphin hormones that cause a sense of happiness, calmness and well-being. The results of the study are expected to show that Islamic teachings are not only spiritual in nature, but also provide significant direction related to human health. Awareness and implementation of these teachings is expected to improve the overall well-being of the Islamic community. This research adopts the literature review method by analyzing various articles that discuss the benefits of tahajud prayer that affect the improvement of body health. By performing tahajud prayer, it is expected to improve the body's health both physically and mentally.
