Abstract

The Banjar tribe is a tribe that lives in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, and has a rich cultural tradition. One of the traditions that is still preserved by the Banjar tribe is Bagandang Nyiru, a traditional tradition that involves Islamic educational values. This research aims to capture the traditional practice behavior of the Banjar tribe with Bagandang Nyiru in searching for missing people, which has been passed down from generation to generation. The research method used in this study includes in-depth interviews with individuals involved in the process of searching for missing persons using the Bagandang Nyiru tradition. The focus of this research is the discussion of the Bagandang Nyiru Tradition in the Banjar Tribe with questions to be answered, among others: First, the tools used for bagandang nyiru; Second, the procession or implementation of bagandang nyiru; Third, the value of Islamic education in the bagandang nyiru tradition.
