Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of Islamic economics in the contemporary context, facing global challenges and local opportunities. The background of the research depicts the complexity of the current global economy, where Islamic economics plays an increasingly important role. The aim of this research is to investigate how the principles of Islamic economics can address global challenges while leveraging local opportunities. The research methodology involves comprehensive analysis of academic literature and related empirical data. The findings indicate that principles of Islamic economics such as justice, sustainability, and community participation can serve as a strong foundation to confront global challenges such as economic instability and social inequality, while utilizing local opportunities for sustainable and inclusive economic development. The implications of these findings underscore the importance of strengthening the implementation of Islamic economic principles in economic policies and practices, both at the national and global levels, to create a more just and sustainable economic system.
